Alvarez is a minor character featured in Days Gone.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Nothing is known of Alvarez's early life. Following the outbreak in 2017, she survived for an unknown length of time as a drifter doing supply runs for various camps in return for food and fuel. At some point, she spent some time riding alongside William "Boozer" Gray and Deacon St. John, two other drifters active in the Cascades region of Oregon. Prior to the events of Days Gone, she teamed up with fellow drifter Leon to smuggle stolen drugs out of the Hot Springs camp, but the operation was discovered by Ada Tucker and the two were forced to flee with only a portion of the drugs.
Events of Days Gone[]
In 2019, as part of the Chasing Leon storyline, Deacon and Boozer are recruited by Tucker to hunt down Alvarez and Leon in order to retrieve the stolen drugs. They are tracked to Pioneer Cemetery near O'Leary Mountain, where Deacon and Boozer discover a mortally wounded Alvarez near the main gate. She reveals to Boozer that Leon betrayed her, brutally attacking her with a crowbar before fleeing into the cemetery. Alvarez then succumbs to her injuries.
As part of the She Rode With Us storyline, Boozer requests that Deacon return to Pioneer Cemetery and burn Alvarez's corpse, sparing her body from being devoured by Freakers.
