Ava Bergstrom, also known as Bergey, is a minor character featured in Days Gone. She resides at the Diamond Lake encampment, acting as the weapons trader.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Little is known of Ava's early life. She served for eight years with the Oregon Army National Guard based in Salem, Oregon. She mentions that she enjoyed pushing pencils during the week and playing soldier on weekends.
Following the outbreak in 2017, she survived for an unknown amount of time before enlisting with the Deschutes County Militia. She was stationed at the Diamond Lake encampment and assigned to serve as the camp's quartermaster, distributing weapons and ammunition. She would eventually attain the rank of sergeant.
Events of Days Gone[]
Following the arrival and enlistment of Deacon St. John, Ava happily provides him with weapons and ammunition in return for camp credits. She maintains a positive attitude during her conversations with Deacon.
Following the death of Colonel Matthew Garret and the dissolution of the Deschutes County Militia, Ava chooses to remain at the Diamond Lake encampment though relinquishes her rank. She now operates as an independent merchant and tells Deacon that she is glad to no longer be a member of the militia but that she does miss being able to boss him around, which Deacon will laugh at and joke that it's the only thing about the militia that he does miss.
