Erik Lynch, also known as the Lynchman, is a minor character featured in Days Gone.
He is a former drifter who performed supply runs for the Lost Lake encampment . He is also a bounty target during the Seeds For The Spring storyline.
Biography
Nothing is known of Erik's early life. Following the outbreak in 2017, he survived as by drifting between established survivor camps, performing supply runs in return for credits and food. He earned his nickname for his tendency to hang Freakers and watch them strangle to death. In 2018, he met William "Boozer" Gray and Deacon St. John while riding through Oregon, but they did not spend any considerable amount of time together.
Events of Days Gone
In 2019, the Lynchman had settled in the Iron Butte region and began performing supply runs for Iron Mike and his camp at Lost Lake. However, for unknown reasons, Erik murdered two residents named Campbell and Reed before stealing two bags of seed and escaping the camp. As part of the Seeds For The Spring storyline, Deacon is tasked with hunting Erik down. Rikki Patil emphasizes to Deacon that Erik must be taken alive, in order to be interrogated for the location of the seed bags.
Erik Lynch is presumably executed by Iron Mike or Rikki Patil for the murder of two camp residents. It is not known if the seeds were recovered.
