THE CAMPFIRE CADETS

WHO WE ARE
The Campfire Cadets were formed on July 10, 1915. Our original creed was to "uphold patriotism, teach courage, and instill good values" into the youth of America. Since then, our influence has grown across the United States, becoming nationally recognized for our mentorship and community service.

THE CADET IDEOLOGY
The Campfire Cadets provide the youth of America with comradery, fellowship opportunities, and long-lasting friendship, in order to create responsible citizens, develop character, and breed self-reliance through participation in outdoor activities, community service, learning opportunities, and by providing hands-on leadership experiences.

THE CADET OATH
"On my honor as a Cadet, I will strive to uphold the Cadet Creed, to help those in need, to protect the weak, and to be the best that I can be."

THE CADET CREED
"A Cadet is loyal, helpful, friendly, kind, courageous, caring, responsible, respectful, brave, courteous, and strives to make the world a better place."

HOW TO DO THE FIRESIDE SALUTE
The Fireside Salute is the Campfire Cadet's official salute! To perform, hold your hand up, palm facing forward, and tuck your thumb in. Waggle your fingers in front of your face to form a fire of your own! This salute symbolizes the crackling fire of the Campfire Cadets' logo, and the eternal flame of Campfire Cadet unity.

And remember, THE CAMPFIRE MOTTO: "Always Help Those in Need!"
