“ | I never trusted Marsdon. We saw him, me and Boozer, way back in the day, riding with a bunch of drifters that had hit Copeland's camp. I told Tucker about it, but she shrugged it off. So long as Marsdon did runs for her, I don't think she cared what else he got up to. But now three of her own men are dead, and I'm guessing she wishes she had listened to me. | „ |
—Deacon St. Joh, on the relationship between Ada Tucker and Richard Marsdon. |
Richard Marsdon, also known as Rick the Prick, is a minor character featured in Days Gone. He is a former drifter as well as a bounty target during the mission I'll Double It.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Nothing is known of Richard's early life. Following the outbreak in 2017, he survived by drifting between established survivor camps and performing supply runs. At some point he joined up with a gang of drifters who were later responsible for a brief attack on Copeland's Camp. By 2019 he had settled in the Hot Springs camp working for Ada Tucker, who ignored warnings from Deacon St. John not to trust Marsdon.
Events of Days Gone[]
In 2019, a disagreement between Marsdon and Alkai Turner resulted in him being ejected from the camp. He returned to his former gang and later led them during an ambush that killed three supply runners working for Tucker. As part of the Bounty Hunter mission I'll Double It, Tucker recruits Deacon to hunt down Marsdon in retaliation for the slayings.
Deacon eventually locates Marsdon and his gang at a small camp near Black Crater, where he wipes them out to the last man. Deacon collects Marsdon's cowboy hat to return to Tucker as proof of his killing.
Equipment[]
“ | Doesn't surprise me. He always seemed like the kinda guy to attract every dirtbag out in the shit. | „ |
—Ada Tucker, on Richard Marsdon. |
Richard Marsdon wears a black long sleeve-shirt under a sand-coloured hoodie and dark gray cargo pants, along with dark brown leather shoes. He also wore a black trench coat and cowboy hat, for which he was known. He uses a 9mm pistol in combat.
Notes[]
- After several members of Marsdon's gang have been killed, he begins to beg for his life, promising that whatever Deacon is being paid to kill him, he will "double it."
